It’s up to you to act on it.
It’s about time for a change because people have a lot more energy as the new year begins.
A new journey has to begin. A new ship has to be sailed in uncharted waters.
Now, don’t get me wrong. You don’t have to achieve everything in a single year. You don’t have to get all your goals. You have to set your decade-long plan in motion starting from today itself.
If you don’t have one, Create one for yourself.
If you can’t create a plan, copy someone you admire and make the necessary changes according to your needs. If you can’t even do that, question your stance.
Don’t just get carried away. Take control.
Create a new year’s resolution now if you were too busy enjoying your holidays (write it down). The first day of the year is a Sunday, so you can work up your plan while sipping *whatever you like* and drawing up clearly what you need to do.
To make the most of this year, track your achievements and failures so you can reflect on them later.
Solve one big problem at a time. But document the steps you took to solve the problem so you can use them if it arises again. You can share your steps with someone else (or a group of people) in need.
Take control of things that have made you feel helpless in the past. Claw all the way back up.
Take more action instead of just talking about the things you are going to do. Start a side hustle or a hobby you have always wanted.
Take care of your physical self as well as your mental self.
Take time for your mental health, which is of the utmost importance. Don’t just hit the GYM for the first two months and then stop to become miserable because you were unable to see any tangible results.
Don’t expect results to occur that soon because good things take time.
Keep using the energy for the entire year. Use it on difficult yet worthy tasks but don’t let it go to waste.
Develop discipline so you can weather the storm when time gets tough and things get rough.
Make good use of your time since it’s your biggest “asset.”
You have to make time for things you consider important or that make you happy. I am talking about the people, hobbies, and activities, but most importantly, yourself.
Use your time to learn and educate yourself to better understand how things work.
Implement whatever you learn to make the most of your knowledge, because what good is knowledge if it never materializes in the physical world?
Become obsessed with meaningful work this year. Take the necessary steps to make things better.
Stop expecting others to do things for you. Get up and do it yourself if you have to.
Embrace your decisions, even if they are for the better or worse. Accept your mistakes and find the lesson.
Connect with other people, not just on social media but in real life too.
Finally, become a person who can say, “Look, what I did in a year” instead of “Look, what a year did to me.”
